Round 58 is over!
Round 58 is over, and what a splendid round! We saw new faces writing, and old faces returning and writing, and new and old faces modding usurping and sharing the glee. (Well, actually, we didn't see anyone's face at all, but we did see their icons, and that's cool too.) The early start and free-for-all was a fine kick in productivity, and much glee has been had. a_q scored her first NaNoWriMo win, even as we watched!
We must now crown a new Champion Usurper for this round:a_phoenixdragon, aka a_phoenixdragon, who covered NINE HOURS of emergency stunt modding overall. This includes both free-for-all and Emergency Backup modding. And this is her FIRST TIME as a mod!
Also offer your cheers toglinda_penguin, who returned to mod after a very long hiatus, and clocketpatch, who also modded for the first time!

I got 1631 words written (all in the last three hours - go procrastination!) and the story is close enough to finished that I can promise it will be posted on the 3rd, no problem. The idea for the beginning of the fic came to me sometime Saturday, but I wasn't sure where it was going and so I fudged on even getting started.
It's easy to forget that sometimes fics will write themselves if you just give them half a chance! :-D

I...was definitely not on my a-game this round. But I managed to get some art drafts turned in and 14 pages of thesis written, so that's cool.
