fic_rush | vague Round 2 update, soliciting of opinions and help

A few days ago, I decided that Round 2 would be two weekends from now, July 11-12. Then I forgot to tell you guys, which it turns out was for the best. Some big offline stuff happened today, and there's a chance I'll be flying across the country in the next few weeks. I won't know when until right before it happens.

Another thing I decided was that after the July round, fic_rush should be bimonthly.

So right now, I'm deciding between August and September to hold a round. Input is required, both for which month and when in that month.

I haven't talked to

dragonessa24 (my co-mod) about all this yet. She was fine with July 11-12 when we discussed it. It's possible that if one of you wants to help and your timezones mesh, you and she could run a round without me. I've no idea if she'd agree to that or not. I'll participate if I'm around and feel up to it.

Sorry to post a whole lot of indecision and lack of information, but I don't want to leave you guys wondering whether or not anything is happening with the comm.

i am in the eastern US, so EST, but i am fine stretching around what most people consider "normal" hours. i am ALWAYS up from about 9 am until about midnight EST, but a lot of times i wake up earlier than that or stay up later, or both.

Hmm, midnight EST is only 6am for me, so I'd need you to stretch it to, say 3am. Maybe those are slow hours though and it'd be fine to just leave a single post up and go to bed.

Just thought I'd post up my interest in participating in this coming round of fic rush. I've read through round 1 and it seems like a fun way to get energized about fics.

Any idea what the theme of this coming round's gonna be? I remember last one was 'sci-fi', which eventually became Doctor Who fic. ^_^

Not sure there will be one. The point of the theme was to have everyone have something in common at first (and give me an idea where to start advertising). It turned into a Doctor Who theme because despite everywhere else I posted, most people seemed to come from my and

dragonessa24's flists. I'm probably dropping the theme idea, since it's more exclusive than inclusive.

Now go advertise. :P
