Round 25 is over!

By Special Directive from [livejournal.com profile] dbskyler, this was [livejournal.com profile] fic_rush.  And many, many things were accomplished!  Vaults were breached, sonic screwdrivers borrowed (and returned), maniacal laughter was stolen (and replaced), cells were escaped from, alien fish were tracked to their original waterfall, bonsai giraffes were planted, nemeses were nemesistic, plot tentacles were detected in previously empty lakes, laundry and dishes were done (maniacally), coffee and tea and chocolate and cake were consumed.  It's been a busy time!

Also, fanvids and icons were made.  Fic was written and edited and planned and plotted and prompted and finished and continued and begun.  TV and DVDs were watched!  Very successfully!  Meals were eaten!  Naps were taken with amazing success!  In the Sleeping Olympics, I'm confident that our team would WIN.

So post here and celebrate.  Brag and proclaim.  And be sure to thank the Mod Squad:  [livejournal.com profile] dbskyler, [livejournal.com profile] lothithil, [livejournal.com profile] pitry, [livejournal.com profile] chibifukurou, [livejournal.com profile] lullabymoon, and especially [livejournal.com profile] welfycat (who modded even though she was sick), [livejournal.com profile] glinda_penguin (who modded even though she was sick and also not even on the schedule), and most of all [livejournal.com profile] isdon_isgood9, who did her TWO shifts even though she’s badly whumped and on painkillers, and deserves a medal.

And I’m your host, [livejournal.com profile] lolmac, and this has been great.

Be sure to watch the comm for the next poll to pick our next weekend!  In fact, watch the comm regardless.  It's tricksy and you never know what it's going to do next.

Managed an awesome (for me anyway) 732 words last hour bringing today's total up to 2859 and the round total up to 3900 words!!! It's been my most productive round ever(despite the nemesis and unexpected phone engineers) and I'm ridiculously pleased!

ETA: And with that I'm off to bed. Will see how everyone else got on in the morning.

Didn't get ficcage done, but I did make a whole slew of icons. :-D Ficcage will hopefully come next round.

Thanks.

I can't take credit for that icon. It was made by [livejournal.com profile] revivingophelia. She has a whole slew of icons from various fandoms over at her graphics comm [livejournal.com profile] karen_graphics

I knew I'd screw the names up.

Ha, I now totally want to change my user name to Evil Overlord-in-Training-Skyler. But people would probably misspell it.

I got my fanvid finished!!! That's my huge accomplishment for the round. Other than that, I did a little editing and plotting, and a lot of evil maniacal laughing.

:D Well, as I'm sure was obvious, I absolutely hated having to do the first shift, and didn't enjoy myself one tiny little bit. I also in no way, shape or form took advantage of the trust and responsibility you vested in me.

I was very successful at mundanity (the art of being mundane). I did chores. I also did two recs for Crack Van, and finished chapter fifteen of my WIP Comes a Time. I'm not sure how may words I wrote but probably two thousand? And did some researching and editing to boot.

Thanks to all the mods, especially the sickies, and I hope there are no germs or dogs inclined to bite in your futures.

As for Skyler, I await with interest further developments of evil overlordship.

Laurie

Always happy to mod :)

We would all totally pwn the sleeping olympics. I think I did that more than anything else this weekend.

I did write about 2900 words over the round and watched a massive amount of maniacal tv too.

Go team! And thanks as always to the wonderful people who run and mod fic_rush!

I am happy to report many a page edited, though little original writing unless you count the occasional extra sentence or two stuffed in here and there along the way. Considering how little time I had at the computer this weekend, I'm fairly pleased.

Besides, it would be worth it just for the fun of seeing all the comments. I love you guys.

Fics do have a tendency to do that, don't they? It seems an unwritten rule that a fic must inevitably grow beyond what you originally thought it would be, there's always more in there than expected. Double is good!

Thanks for the fun and encouragement, as ever! :-)

It was a good round; I even got some words in again. And I definitely think we should keep the bonsai giraffes in the menagerie - they were v cute.
