February Fail?

Well, between work and being sick, February has done a fine job of messing up my writing schedule.  How about yours?  Not only did I not get a poll up before this:  I am only available for the weekend of February 25th and 26th.  (I'm going to be at an out of town conference next weekend.)

So here's the Burning Question:

And I should be around pretty much any weekend, although now I think of it, probably Mar 17th/18th is actually not that good, even though I ticked it.

Since people sometimes do disappear do you want me as a back-up mod? It'd still probably be best if I didn't have to do a whole stretch yet (because of the temptation then not to rest as much as I should at the mo), but I am usually around all the time in the otherwise deserted early morning GMT shifts. Last time someone vanished, or nearly vanished, and I would happily have stepped in, but couldn't get posting access at that point, as it was the middle of the night for most people. I was only wondering, please ignore me if not.

I would love to have you as an Emergency Backup Stunt Mod! So much so that I've just given you posting access on the fic_rush_48 comm. Remember, with incremental power comes incremental responsibility. ;-)

Wow, timey-wimeyness already, and we haven't even got anywhere near the round yet? Clearly March is going to be special. And probably your stunt mod will be AWOL in the one moment you need her. ;-D (Well, hopefully not, and hopefully no one will vanish, as it tends to be worrying...)

I should be back on board for modding in March but right now I cannot discern what weekend would be best other than probably not the first one for me.

It will be lovely to have you back, whichever week or month you're able to mod again!

Since the group in general is interested in a round on the last weekend of February, the first weekend of March is not a likely prospect.

I hope you're feeling better :D As for March at the moment it looks like all the dates will work for me. I'm not that fussed and haven't really planned anything that fair ahead yet :D

As for March, the 10th and 11th and the 24th and 25th weekends would be better but I can do most of them except the 3rd and 4th weekend.

Since it's looking like March 10/11 is the front-runner, this is probably a good time to tell you that I'm only available Friday afternoon/evening that weekend.

I'm currently pondering the relative virtues of that weekend and the weekend of the 25th/26th. The 10th/11th is leading, but it's only two weeks after Round 26, which might be an issue. You didn't check the 25th/26th at all -- is that weekend Right Out for you?

It's not a good weekend. I might have some hours mid-day Saturday. And I should be able to start the round, but I might have to leave at 6 p.m. my time.

(I almost didn't check the 10th/11th either, but then I thought, well, at least I'm available for all of Friday. The last two weekends of March are far more crowded for me.)

I've ended up casting the question back to the Hive-Mind. To my thinking, it makes a difference, not only when you'd be available to mod, but whether you'll get any chance during the weekend to write, have fun, that sort of stuff . . .

Yes, exactly. After I wrote my response above, I realized that I was basically saying that I was free to do my usual shift (a few hours Friday afternoon and a few hours mid-day Saturday). But the difference is, those are the ONLY free hours I have the entire weekend. And would I want them taken up by fic_rush? Much as I love the 'rush, the answer is no, not really.
