Announcing Round 10!

The votes are in, and Round 10 will be the weekend of September 25th and 26th, from Friday midnight GMT to Sunday midnight GMT.  This was the weekend on which the fewest people were unavailable.

The following Wonderful and Amazing people have offered to help with hourly posts:  [livejournal.com profile] dbskyler, [livejournal.com profile] glinda_penguin, and [livejournal.com profile] lullabymoon -- please join me in wild cheers for them, because I would not be able to do this on my own.  Can the three of you let me know when during the weekend you're likely to be available, and we'll parcel out the hours accordingly?  I'm on the Pacific coast of the US, so I'm particularly going to need help during the wee hours (in UK time, that's from 10 am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday).  I also have a commitment that Saturday evening my time that will take me AFK for a few hours then.

If you think you'll be able to participate, please reply to this post.  In addition to the people who will be writing, there was plenty of interest expressed in dropping in and leaving distracting comments, so I fully expect to see plenty of tomfoolery.  (It is not necessary to sign up in advance for tomfoolery.)

And a final postscript on the TwitterFace topic:  the ticky boxes have been suppressed for this comm, but if you're viewing this page through your Flist, or in your own style, you will still see the things unless you fix it in your own LJ (because the settings in your LJ will override the settings in this comm).  The amazingly easy-to-follow instructions are right here.

Also, I have no plans to emigrate to Dreamwidth myself; I like LJ, and I expect the PTB to respond to the smacking they're currently undergoing.  Especially since the smacking is only going to get harder they longer they wait.  *evil laugh*

Cool! I won't be able to do the entire weekend - work on Sat and necessary household chores (like, you know, laundry!) on Sun, but I shall be here as much as I can working on the ongoing novel!

No - I keep glaring at it, but it refuses! And the House Elf moved out! o_O

:D

Honestly, the novel - it scares me sometimes!

Original novel. I've written lengthy, multi-chapter fanfics in the past but none actually novel-length.

This story, Tomasun Wolves: The Camarilla Chronicles Book 1, is actually the first in a series of 6 stories in my 'verse. (There are currently two sequels planned, and three sort-of prequels - insofar as the prequels mostly cover periods before my main characters were born). It's SF-ish police procedural - and if you're at all interested in knowing more, feel free to check out [livejournal.com profile] tomasun_wolves - I just made the first five chapters (or part 1 of the fic) public posts as I wrote them for the [livejournal.com profile] scifibigbang.

It's on the calendar!

I am also on US Pacific time, so I may not be too helpful with posting duties (this was also my trouble with helping out [profile] studyofrunning. However, I can certainly step in to cover Saturday night our time, and I can stay up as late as needed until someone wakes up to take over on Sunday (preferably someone in a later time zone so I'm not up all night . . . *g*). I'm willing to take on other shifts too so you don't have to be the only one holding down the US-time-zone fort, although I'd prefer not to do two late nights in a row.

Oooh, Seattle's nice. I'm in California.

Consider Saturday evening covered, and seriously, if it would help for me to take any other shifts, just let me know. I'm open that whole weekend.

I'm in! I'll be able to help out on Sunday morning - usually I do 6am GMT to 2pm GMT which works out as (I think) 11pm to 7am US pacific time. I should be able to shift it an hour later if you want - it's just I'm not sure if we are having a birthday party that day or not.

I can do 10am to 6pm GMT on Saturday and early GMT Sunday if needed? :)

[identity profile] pitry.livejournal.com 2010-09-03 10:18 am (UTC)(link)
Hooray!

I will probably join in at some point late on Saturday (well, early on Saturday for most people).

Which reminds, if you're going to need someone to cover weird hours on Sunday - I'm gonna be GMT+2 by that time, so your wee hours would be mid-day for me!

On a sadder note... I haven't heard back from [livejournal.com profile] studyofrunning. :(

I hope [profile] studyofrunning is okay. It's worrying that she so suddenly and completely dropped off LJ, but I guess there's not much we can do about it. But I think that if she returns (which I hope she does), she'll be glad to see that this comm is still alive.

I'm in - or at least I hope so! My family always seems to find some way to suddenly need me to be somewhere else just as the round starts, but by golly I'll try.

I'm in : ) Can't wait to fic rush again : )

Er...if it isn't too late, I've just had this brought to my attention by lost_spook and would like to use the opportunity to get some serious wordage done on my original fantasy novel, if that's okay!
