Announcing Round 10!
Thu, Sep. 2nd, 2010 10:00 pmThe votes are in, and Round 10 will be the weekend of September 25th and 26th, from Friday midnight GMT to Sunday midnight GMT. This was the weekend on which the fewest people were unavailable.
The following Wonderful and Amazing people have offered to help with hourly posts:
dbskyler,
glinda_penguin, and
lullabymoon -- please join me in wild cheers for them, because I would not be able to do this on my own. Can the three of you let me know when during the weekend you're likely to be available, and we'll parcel out the hours accordingly? I'm on the Pacific coast of the US, so I'm particularly going to need help during the wee hours (in UK time, that's from 10 am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday). I also have a commitment that Saturday evening my time that will take me AFK for a few hours then.
If you think you'll be able to participate, please reply to this post. In addition to the people who will be writing, there was plenty of interest expressed in dropping in and leaving distracting comments, so I fully expect to see plenty of tomfoolery. (It is not necessary to sign up in advance for tomfoolery.)
And a final postscript on the TwitterFace topic: the ticky boxes have been suppressed for this comm, but if you're viewing this page through your Flist, or in your own style, you will still see the things unless you fix it in your own LJ (because the settings in your LJ will override the settings in this comm). The amazingly easy-to-follow instructions are right here.
Also, I have no plans to emigrate to Dreamwidth myself; I like LJ, and I expect the PTB to respond to the smacking they're currently undergoing. Especially since the smacking is only going to get harder they longer they wait. *evil laugh*

Date: 2010-09-03 07:28 am (UTC)I'm particularly interested because the piece I'm currently finishing up is my third novel-length work, and the first one to crack the 80k word level. Oy. That's a lot of words.

Date: 2010-09-03 07:33 am (UTC)This story, Tomasun Wolves: The Camarilla Chronicles Book 1, is actually the first in a series of 6 stories in my 'verse. (There are currently two sequels planned, and three sort-of prequels - insofar as the prequels mostly cover periods before my main characters were born). It's SF-ish police procedural - and if you're at all interested in knowing more, feel free to check out
