Round 80?

Do we want a round this month? Do we want a round this weekend, which looks like the best one? We might shine a little spot of light into a dark month - or just make me worry about Yuletide a little bit less!

I'm not appointing myself in charge - anyone is welcome to make up the schedule, or decide to do without - I'm just one of the people who happen to be currently in the afternoon rather than the early morning...

However, if you would like me to make up a timetable, then mods please comment with your availability by this time tomorrow (4pm GMT, 11am EST, 8am PST, etc.) - I can post a list then, and hours unclaimed at that stage will be free for all unless claimed in comments. (I'll be away from just after that until some point on Saturday morning, my time - so someone able to make a first post would be especially useful.)

I think a round might be good for us, too, and I certainly have some Yuletide fic (it won't end!). I can be around in the mornings, mid-dayish and evenings GMT, although I mostly just tend to emergency stunt mod.

Let's do it. I work Sundays MST, but I can do the starting post and ending post at 5pm my time / midnight GMT if needed, and probably stunt-mod a bit on Friday and/or Saturday as well.

After the Pulse shooting, one of the queer-run podcasts I follow said something that I think applies here: "We decided to go ahead and release this episode today, both because there is value in routine in the face of tragedy, and because there are times when continuing to exist visibly and publicly is itself an act of defiance." Having a round this month is important for those reasons, in my opinion.

This may be late, but I can do the following times:

2~5 am CET tonight (since I'll be watching Z Nation anyway ^.^)

4 pm to midnight/1 am CET Saturday

11 am CET to end Sunday

I can also do multiple shifts.

My reasons are not nearly so meritorious - I'm just Tired. I had the week or two where no one talked or thought about anything else after the Brexit vote, and I don't have the energy to do it again.
(Also, although I'm sympathetic, it's not mine to meddle in - outsider views can be interesting, but they're still outside.)

If you think that bookblather would make a suitable new Baby Mod, could you give her posting access? She seems like a sensible person, with a journal full of Words about books - but if you think it would be better to wait, that's fine :)

At first only designated mods had posting access, but when we started having free-for-all usurpation rounds, it got changed to allowing all members to post. As we haven't yet been inundated with spam, there's been no need to change it back.
