Round 23 is over!

It was a bit quiet for one of our rounds (relatively speaking), but a lot of writing (and editing and posting) got done.  We defied the Time Chicken, and it was delicious, and I'll eventually figure out how to get the alien fish out of my bathtub.  I hope.

Please take a moment also to thank the Mod Squad: isdon_isgood9, glinda_penguin, dbskyler, chibifukurou, lullabymoon, idlewild_, and lothithil!  Special thanks again to Skyler for picking up when one of our mods was delayed by helping a friend, and to my wonderful partner for getting us started when I was stuck in the Traffic Jam from Hell on Friday night.

Keep an eye on the comm in the next day or two:  I'll be posting details of the mini-round for next weekend, which will probably run from Saturday noon to Sunday noon EST in the US (5 pm Sat to 5 pm Sun GMT).

For my part, I got about 500 words done, and I'm at a place where I should be able to get some momentum going, which is a very welcome place to be! Now I think I'm going to play with pretty pictures for a while.

The muse has been with me all week, and fic rush was WONDERFUL. I like this writing thing. I hope to do more of it in the future.

I wrote 936 words today and 3,530 for the entire rush. I finished 2 WIPs and wrote 5 other ficlets from scratch (one of those, the last thing I worked on, needs some research and then possibly editing, but I went ahead and wrote it anyway. *g*)

Now I have stuff that needs to get posted and announced. Lots of stuff! \o/

I wrote just under 4k for the entire fic rush, even though I completely failed at writing today. All of that was on my NaNoWriMo.

I did 1,400 words for two drabbles for TS Secret Santa, a passel of reviews on podfics and stories that I really needed to do, and worked on WIP editing it, and a rec post for podfic.

I also did a bunch of house chores, swept and mopped floors, did dishes (and dishes and dishes), vacummed, steam cleaned carpets, chipped away at old grout, and baked cookeis.

Also did some podficcing, both prep and recording.


And (since my brain is now mush, I didn't put this in my original comment) sincere thanks go to all the mods and honorary mods for all their hard work at pumping us up.

I am so far behind on EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD. I need to choose something soothing to play with for a little while. :-)

I did some editing, wrote a blog post and a drabble, and started on a story. Apart from the drabble, these were all things I've been meaning to do for months, or in some cases years. So that's good.

I finished the first draft of a short story although I'm relatively certain that there needs to be a bit during the middle of the night heart-to-heart where the protagonist awkwardly hits on her confidant which will colour the tenor of the rest of the story too.

But hey. First draft is done.

I wrote a long, bad, cathartic poem but I don't think that was such a good plan. Still. I did do that.

Mostly just a depressive funk, which was not useful! Bloody artistic temperament. Can't live with it, can't write without it.
