Round 35 Mod Squad schedule

This will definitely be an EPIC round.  It will probably be more than a little crazy during the first part, but when has that ever deterred us?

The 'Rush will officially start at 4 pm GMT, which is 11 am Eastern Standard Time, which is Hour -32.  At that time, I'll make a starter post and officially open the room, as it were.

justice_turtle and sidlj have volunteered to make check-in posts on Thursday, but there's a lot of timey-wimeyness available, so I'm not assigning shifts.  Once the round is open, it's a free-for-all!  Anyone with posting access can post.  Work it out any way you like, just don't break anything that doesn't need to be broken.  If you want to post and don't have access, try pinging me.  I'll grant it if I get your message!

These are the posting guidelines:

1.  If you're around during the first ten minutes of any given hour, make a check-in post.
2.  Once you've posted, hang out for a few minutes to see if anyone else also posted.  If two or more people post to the same hour, the first person to post gets it.  The second (or third or more) post should be deleted.  The winner gets a cookie, and the non-winner(s) get flamingos (and get to check in).
3.  Hours are to be counted according to any system you choose, as long as it doesn't make the internet explode.
4.  Make everybody welcome (I know you will)!
5.  Rush activity is not limited to writing.  It's not necessarily limited by anything at all, including basic laws of physics.
6.  Number Six is not a number, it is a free man.
7.  There is no Number Seven.
8.  No penguins are to be harmed.
9.  Any arbitrary and gratuitous changes of procedures or rules, or realignments of the space-time continuum, are to be tidied up by Friday morning.
10.  Any lingering timey-wimeyness will be dealt with as necessary.


The Free-For-All will end at 1 pm GMT Friday, which is 8 am Eastern Standard Time, or Hour -11.  n_e_star has offered to start a regular shift at that time, for which we salute you!  (I personally expect to be asleep then.)  However, you need to join the fic_rush_48 comm so I can grant you posting access.

Oh, I spotted one! I think. I'm not braining very mathily, but the last section of the round:

If I look at the right-hand "column" you have four posts there, Hours 46, 47, 48, and The Round Is Ended. If I look at the left-hand "column" you also have four posts: 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, midnight, all GMT. But if I look at the center column you seem to have 5 posts: 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm.

Did British Summer Time get involved somewhere? Is 8pm a placeholder for the Magical Missing Mystery Hour? What's going on? ;-)

Hi there! :D

Nothing strictly defined. I'm going to try to nab the first free-for-all post just because I'm extremely competitive (fair warning ;P) and it's my FIRST TIME MODDING *might be a little excited*, but I may well oversleep, given the running-around I've been doing today (yesterday here now! Oops). Other than that, I expect to be around more or less all afternoon and through the evening - I'm talking in EST, btw. I realize I don't know your time zone, so I'm just clarifying.

The past few nights, I have been up till 3am EST, which is not sensible but if it happens again I may as well mod-post while I'm up. Or I might go to bed early, anywhere from 6pm-ish to 10pm-ish (EST). It all depends. ;-)

So, yeah. You see why Beth didn't assign hours in this quadrant. *g*

ETA: Also I plan to wreak havoc with my 'Rush-appropriate icons; I've rejiggered them all specially. ^_^

I'm CST. Yeah, my sleep schedule tends to be all over the place at times, but I'm heading out of town Friday morning, so I'm going to attempt to be in bed at a decent hour for once! Maybe someone on the other side of the world will be inspired to jump in while we're sleeping. :-)
