Unless I'm wrong (as I often am), Daylight Savings Time will have started in Australia, but will not have ended anywhere else yet. Next month, we scramble almost everyone's time up, woohoo bleaugh!

We also have a Hole In Time on Sunday, becauselullabymoon won't be able to mod. lost_spook, I've tentatively slotted you in; do please let me know if you think you can do it! If not, we'll improvise, or call for volunteers, or stuff rags into the crack, or something like that.

I will try to get some wedding pictures posted, so that nobody has to miss out on writing fic, but there's not much I can do about the right of penguins to marry, except to promise to support that noble cause in any way I can (mostly by writing fic).

Send Wedding Congratulations to Beth This Weekend!

fic_rush_48, I thought I would take the chance to declare a special Wedding Congratulations weekend!
My thought is to open a post on Friday, August 9th onfic_rush_48, and link to it from this community. Then we can take the weekend to send congratulations there to Beth and her new wife. We will likely only need one post, but if we start to hit a comment limit, then I will open up a second post (or perhaps one of the other mods with posting access there will do it for me -- hint, hint).
What sort of congratulations should you send? Anything you like! A simple message, or a gif, or a short fic, or a link to something. If it's celebratory, then it's good!
Also, if for some reason you can't post this weekend but want to send congratulations later, that is perfectly acceptable. There's no 48-hour time limit on this "round"!
Basically, I just want Beth to know that the fic_rush community is thinking about her this weekend, and sending congratulations. Also, if anyone has any other / better ideas for how to virtually celebrate this wedding weekend, feel free to say so in the comments here.

Sat, Jul. 6th, 2013 10:35 amlolmacAs most of you already know, I'm getting married! Specifically, my partner and I are getting married on August 10th, in the Seattle area. (We have to get married in Washington because we already have a Washington state registered domestic partnership. Also, it's pretty there.)
I'm going to be a little distracted in August, as well as a lot AFK.
Accordingly, I will not be planning, coordinating, or otherwise doing anything about an August round. If people would like to have Round 44 in August, do feel free to do so. Otherwise, we'll take a month off and resume in September.
