PSA: ISO studyofrunning

Has ANYONE seen or heard from studyofrunning since early June?

I know that people can and do fall off the intranets for longish periods of time, for various reasons, including Computer Fail.  But there's been nothing on this comm since the June round ended and the July round poll was done -- not even a confirmation of the poll results.  She hasn't responded to PM, and I haven't yet located anyone who's able to get in direct touch with her.

For obvious reasons, I'm very worried.

For the comm here, which I know is very important to us (in addition to studyofrunning herself) -- dragonessa24 gave me posting access here, and has offered to make me a Maintainer of the comm so as to keep the lights on.  I'm willing to do that, or to step aside for another if someone else is interested and able to put in the time.

Of course, if someone can tell me "Oh, she's fine, she just won the lottery and hitched a lift with a dishy bloke in a police box", then my month will look a great deal shinier.

I could have sworn I've seen her pop up a couple of times in a few coms, but no haven't really heard from her. Wow, I hadn't realized we hadn't had a round in ages.

I've been wondering about her too, but I assumed that she'd gotten busy with RL and/or lost interest in the comm. If no one's heard anything from her since early June, that's worrisome -- hope she's okay.

Very worrisome; she didn't hit a high mark on my Flake-O-Meter, so her disappearance makes me feel Very Bad. (There are those who could vanish for six months or more, and I wouldn't be gnawing my nails.)

I've rambled around some of the other comms she's associated with, and haven't seen any signs of recent activity from her in any of them.

She hasn't shown up in the land comm we're in all round, and that was a few months ago.

I've been wondering the same thing myself - even took a quick peek at her LJ to see if there was a post to explain because sometimes stuff comes up and you can't let everyone know. I hope she's okay.

Even though I've only participated in one fic_rush so far, I felt disappointed at the lack of a round in July and so far this month too.

As long as there's interest (and I believe there is), I'm willing to have a go at steering the ship till the captain comes back.

Duly noted. Given my own schedule, I think I can run a 'rush weekend bimonthly; that would give us September and November, for NaNo. If we want to go monthly, we'll need more volunteers to organise and run, preferably people who are not starting college. *ahem*

I wish I knew. She started with crumplysnorcack a new land comm not before she disappeared, but she hasn't been seen there either. :( I hope she's alright.

Yes, I've been missing the comm - and wondering about studyofrunning. I went to check on her LJ, too and (while I found some fabulous icons) there was no sign of activity, or anything. Let's hope someone can find out she won an unexpected ticket for a cruise or something, because... yes, worrying.

But as for fic_rush I was wondering about asking much the same thing as you - it's been a really encouraging thing to be part of. Once you do one, you're hooked!

I knew it had been a while since something had been posted here, but I hadn't realised exactly how long it had been.

I can help with stuff if need be and can do my usual Sunday AM GMT shift.

Help would be great, especially in taking that shift. Unless she resurfaces to the siren song of her name, I figure I'll put together a poll for September dates. I'm not up to running a marathon every month, but I'm game for bi-monthly.

Another worried person here, wish I had info to share, but don't... I also pm'd her and scrounged through all of her comms in search of activity just last week but found nothing and have heard nothing. :-( Wish we knew someone who was a part of her Real Life so we could offer to help or whatever is needed.
