AWOL Explanation and Round 80 dates, Part II

Hello, my friends and fellow 'Rushers --

There was no October round because I more or less lost October: my wife's mother went into hospice care. She's been failing rapidly (dementia), so it was not a surprise, but it was unexpected. By the time I emerged, October was almost over. The funeral is this coming weekend.

And now, it's November, which means Nano, which means (I trust) that we need a round even more!

I'm so sorry for your loss, honey. *hugs you hard* I saw the notifications for everything and didn't think about Rush, because...well...you were going through a lot - and FR is for fun, when you have the time, mental space and ability to take it on. A wait never hurts any of us. I just hope you are doing okay...

Huh... and my MIL is just starting that road... she shattered her hip and has dementia/Alzheimers and rather than put her through rehab that she won't understand (and won't be able to do), the hubby and his sister are putting her into hospice... so I know what you just went through...

It's hard at any point in that process...

On the fic_rush front, I should mention that I work Sundays now, and in fact I work forty hours a week looking at a computer screen, so my other computering is severely limited as I try to avoid eyestrain. So I'm not sure if or when I'll be around... but I appear to be the only person here who isn't yet burned out on pumpkin spice. ;S
