Yes, I'm still alive. It's been a rough 15 months.

I've imported the comm from LJ and am doing as much as I can to find and invite past members, especially Mod Squad members, so we can get up and running again. Please signal-boost at will!

(I was going to leave this as a comment on the sticky, but comments seem to be turned off there: your post seems great and very comprehensive and all the things it should be! My one suggestion is adding the link to the AO3 collection: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/Fic_Rush when you mention it and also in the sidebar, so that people can find it easily if they want to post to it.)

ETA: I like this layout!

Yay! Yes, I had it in mind to get that link in, but I wore myself out trying to get all the cuts to work. Useful tip: you can't put a link to an LJ username inside a cut. I'll get the Ao3 link in when I can. Many thanks!

I did turn off the comments on purpose. I need to revamp the Ask-a-Mod post from the old comm, so that can be used as a feedback point.

I just did a new post with some progress notes and an invitation for folks to check in.

That's weird - I often have! Ha, but technology, when is it ever fully co-operative?

I have made the first pimping post at

Over the coming days (to stagger it a little), I will also try

dw_community_promo and

fandom_on_dw. I can't think of anywhere else off the top of my head, although there are some writing comms like

onedeadplotbunny and ?getyourwordsout? that might be natural allies/affiliates, even if not places we can pimp outright.

It may make a difference when the post has half a dozen cuts, or when you have two LJ links inside tow different cuts. Whatever. My attempts to link to seriesfive and studyofrunning (who didn't immigrate) broke the code, and I finally had to give up and do a workaround.

Ah. SeriesFive doesn't exist under that name any more, on either side, which probably didn't help. (I think she became

allkindsoffur, but I'd have to check. She's not around any more, though, sadly.)

I put the code into the comment so you could c+p the code for the banner + the text box to put into a post on the comm, so members could use it to put into their own comms and journals. Did you not want to do that, or is there some problem? Would you like me to make the post here for you, if I have permission?

I thought you must have missed that bit, as it wasn't like you not to use it or to say anything, that's why I asked again!
