Progress notes and Pimpage

The comm has been imported, less the two posts just made about moving over here to DW. The 48 comm flooded me with messages about import failures, but it seems to have imported in spite of hiccups.

I have paid for this account, so we can have polls, because we MUST have polls.

I re-wrote the FAQ post and stickied it to this comm. Feel free to use that as a target link for pimpage.

People are beginning to join, including some new names amongst the old. On that line: hey, let's all say hi to each other! Please comment on this post, introduce yourself, maybe let us know some or all of the following:

- Where did you hear about us?
- Were you involved with this comm on LJ?
- Are you willing to be/interested in being part of the Mod Squad?
- What's your favourite unusual animal? (birds, fish, etc. equally acceptable)
- Are you now, or have you ever been, a penguin?

I'll do a poll for our inaugural DW round in the next few days, once we've had a chance to spread the word.

In other words: um, hi, sorry I turned invisible for so long . . .

Hi all, I definitely heard about the comm through thisbluespirit though others I knew in those circles were involved as well. I did a few rushes on LJ yes. I'm too ephemeral to be a mod but I will try to participate when the rounds come up!

No one has mentioned pangolins yet so I'll give them a shout.

I wish I was a Penguin but that would require that I be much better at ice hockey than I am.
