Round Fred dates

 Our first round in the new era will be Round 84, affectionately known as Fred.  We will have the round on March 17th and 18th.  

If you would like to mod, or at least have the option to usurp, please reply to this post, and join the fic_rush_48 comm.  I will make sure you have posting access.  If you’re new to the comm, you might want to wait and just participate for a couple of rounds (although we have had people jump into Baby Mod status from start, so anything might happen).

I don’t have the energy to do a full modding schedule, but I don’t think we’ll need one. My intention is to have assigned anchor posts for the key hours (Hour 1, 6, 12, etc.), and open usurpation otherwise.  That approach worked well before, and is a lot easier than drawing up and maintaining the schedule.

I’ve done a new master reference post for looking up GMT hours.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, or at least as many as possible!

I love this modding plan. In fact, I wonder if we shouldn't stick to this model going forward -- it's easier, it's more inclusive (people who hesitate to commit ahead of time to a shift can jump in and usurp an hour), and our past history has shown that it works.

Speaking of which -- unfortunately, Fred is a very busy weekend for me, so I can't commit to modding, but I will be at the ready to usurp when I'm around!

Sounds like a plan! Unfortunately that was the one weekend I am most likely to be unable to do (my parents are coming up and will expect my energies to be directed towards them!) but I trust it will all go well & I'm sure I'll be around for a bit Sat am anyway.

Yay! My weekends are unpredictable because I live with my aunt, who like to Get Things Done on weekends, but at the very least I should be able to pop in around 5am-ish GMT when she’s gone to bed and I have not. :D (Sometimes I have a lot more free time than that, but sometimes I don’t.)

Are the penguins also named Fred?

Edit: Right, I totally have a brain. Ready for stunt mod duty! :D

I'm not sure how much I'll be around Saturday, but I'm hoping to get some writing done Sunday. I fear commitment, but I fancy being a usurper. Do you have to provide your own crown?
