November starts tomorrow!

The November round isn't until the weekend of the 29th and 21st, but I thought it would be fun to have a check-in at this time.

What are your plans for the month?  Are you doing NaNoWriMo?  Miniwrimo?  Picowrimo?  No writing at all other than the 'rush weekend?

Share your goals and we'll cheer for each other!  Cause that's what we do, and we're damned good at it.

Work is going to be ...SPLODY... for me over November/December so I hear you there. Although your bosses seem ...short sighted.

My goal is simply to do something related to either writing or revising on every day of November. You're right. It can definitely be a stress valve.

I'm currently suffering from a rush of plot bunnies to the head. Alesha/James (Law & Order: UK) ones, to be exact. Which is slightly aggravating as I really wanted to get back to my original fic after L&O: UK's third season finished, but...

However, any writing is better than no writing.

Plus, I have a madly epic X-over of Doom to write - it's got 6 London based fandoms in it, though it centres on the Eighth Doctor and original female character for the most part...

I shall be trying to write 200 words a day for mininano.

My goal for November is to write something. I have written nothing substantial since February and it's really starting to get to me. NaNoWriMo is something I do not plan to do ever, lol. That's way too much pressure. So my own NaNo will be to finish "a fic" rather than "a novel". :)

I've signed up for mininano this year with a goal of 150 words per day. I soo need to get back into the habit of writing regularly again.

My aim is to get some of my kiss and schmoop bingo fics written, as well as get a start on my McCoy/Chapel exchange fic and finish some overdue fics.

I've unwisely signed up for a Doctor Who ficathon, with my story due by the end of the month, and am still making less progress than I would have liked on my multi-part Eleventh Doctor fic, and entertain notions of writing a nice fic for Xmas. So, that's me really.

When I've got all that done, I intend to dive back into the original fantasy story/novel and not come up again until I've got a completed first draft (in other words, try very, very hard not to start any more ambitious fanfic for the foreseeable).

I'm doing mininanowrimo and hopefully this year I won't completely fail to write anything. I have comment fic I owe people, my Epic Myke/HG Fic That Will Be Awesome And Have A Roadtrip (working title), hopefully I will have something for Yuletide if we ever get to sign up, and I signed up for I Saw 3 Ships this year.

So, I will write. Yes, that is my plan. It's not very plan like, but it's there.

I won't be around for the next fic_rush (or most of it, anyway), and November has always been for me a month where it's best not to factor in plans to write much. However, I think it might be less so this year, and am planning to sign up for Yuletide - sign-ups should be close, so November will probably be about planning & writing that. I've got a few things I'd really like to get back on with, but it's not a month where I can go round committing myself to anything like Nano.

I have masses of plot bunnies and no fic voice. It's very annoying.

However, I have joined PicoWriMo, with a goal of "write something fiction-related every day". Hopefully a sentence or more of actual fic, but scribbled pages of world-building will also count if I get stuck. (I can always scribble world-building.)
