Round 12 is over!

Round 12 is over!  We had lots of comings and goings and writing and revising and alien fish.  The Hour 5 Strike Force battled to free our muses.  For those planning to write tomorrow, Hour 16 should show up eventually.

Deep, heartfelt thanks again to dbskyler, glinda_penguin, pitry, isdon_isgood9, and lullabymoon for sharing the Mod Squad duties on a weekend that had most of us hopping around other commitments! And a special thanks and welcome to juliet316, the newest mod recruit!

Total for the weekend: 845 words. Which for me, is kinda awesome. I'm happy with that. And I still have an hour or so before I need to go to bed. :)

I wrote 857 words on my WIP this round! That may not sound impressive, but considering the many months this fic has stayed at an absolute standstill? I'm positively thrilled. Because of fic_rush, my word count for the WIP challenge I'm doing is now officially 787 words (because I started the weekend with a negative word count, having edited more out than I had put in). I actually think that it might be possible now to successfully meet the challenge and hit 1000 words by the end of the month! Thanks everyone for all the company and encouragement, and double thanks to lolmac for handling the scheduling tasks that allow fic_rush to happen!

I wrote about 1000 words of fic this weekend two drabbles (For A Stormy Night (http://community.livejournal.com/gen_drabble/50447.html) - Dr Who, and Culinary Delights (http://community.livejournal.com/gen_drabble/50075.html) - Stargate SG-1) and I wrote about 800 words and thus finished of one of the two stories (Roommate Blues (http://glinda-penguin.livejournal.com/257267.html), Dark Angel femslash!) I wanted to finish this weekend so yay?

I'm very pleased with what I wrote this weekend

I wrote 2371 words! XD

What's even more astounding, to me, is that 1073 of them were on a WIP that had been sitting around for ages with barely a few *lines* of inspired writing to help it forward. Now? It's longer by ~3.5 pages in Word, and although I'll probably be editing a fair amount of that out, for me it's the fact that I managed to get going on it again *at all* that counts :D. Of all the work I did this weekend, I'm proudest of this. ♥

I also managed 1298 words on another fic which I started this weekend, based on an idea which grabbed me firmly by the brain - and hasn't let go - since after I saw a particular episode of Merlin.

I managed to write over 4000 words this weekend (since I wrote roughly 700 in bed last night, after I thought I'd finished writing for the day!!)

I'm sad I shall miss out on December's fic_rush owing to my boss being a bugger and sodding off to Pakistan for 5 weeks leaving me in sole charge of HIS business (meaning I'll be working 53 hours a week instead of my usual 13 - and with only three part timers to help (and no, they'll not be covering all the hours that the shop's open - that'd be TOO useful!))
