Round 15 is next weekend!
Sat, Mar. 19th, 2011 03:00 pmFor once, the title does not say it all; we have some scheduling bumps that still need to be flattened. Three of our mods have RL issues, and presumably all of our mods have Real Lives, so whatcha gonna do?
I've been contacting some folks directly, but with LJ continuing to deliver some messages days later, it's not going well. Accordingly, can the following folks get in touch with me on modding schedule tweaks?
glinda_penguin, can you start an hour earlier than usual, at 8 am GMT Saturday, and go for five hours instead of four?
first post 8 am GMT Saturday
last post noon GMT Saturday
pitry, can you do the following shift instead of your usual?
first post 5 am GMT Sunday (8 am IST)
last post 8 am GMT Sunday (11 am IST)
juliet316, can you change your shift to the following?
first post 1 pm GMT Sunday (10 am EDT)
last post 6 pm GMT Sunday (2 pm EDT)
Please reply in the comments here. If any of you have already replied to PMs from me asking about this, and you're wondering why I'm asking again -- you can assume that your reply has not reached me yet. Sigh.
ETA: Once I have answers from everyone, I'll post a new schedule for the round. I'll need everyone to check it for errors; there's a lot of changes involved.
ETA: We have a confirmed hole in the schedule. Can anyone cover any part of the time between 4 am and 8 am GMT on Sunday?
ETA42: We have a confirmed hole in my head, but the schedule is now solid. Yay
fic_rush!

Date: 2011-03-19 07:16 pm (UTC)I may need to ask you to do just that. How late Sunday can you reasonably go? Would you be able to go till 11 pm or midnight IST (7 or 8 pm GMT)?
ETA: I'm hoping that this will be in place of your Saturday shift, not in addition to it. There's really been quite a lot of juggling called for this time . . .

Date: 2011-03-19 08:02 pm (UTC)Hmm...since midnight GMT is now 3 a.m. it would be unwise to say I can go til the end, but I'm usually going to sleep as it is around 2 a.m. so until then I'm game!

Date: 2011-03-20 12:18 am (UTC)But only because this thread caused me to go look up information on the typical Israeli workweek. That, plus my own knowledge of Shabbat, gave me the answer. :D
LJ is so educational sometimes!

Date: 2011-03-20 02:34 pm (UTC)... it's disgusting. It's still that way in most schools though, and plenty of work places are open 6 (well, 5.5, everything closes up by Shabbat) days a week...

Date: 2011-03-19 11:47 pm (UTC)But if you're okay with that, then I'd be very happy to have you do three hours on Saturdy, beginning at 4 pm GMT, and three hours on Sunday, beginning at 7 pm GMT.
And thanks for confirming when Israel changes its clocks! I was afraid you were doing it on that same weekend, along with the UK. Damned DST. Why can't all our governments ask us first when it's convenient to do it? Harrumph.
