Round 21 is over!

Wow, that was one hell of a round -- especially since it started with two mods fresh out of hospital, myself being one of them.   Plus some mods and several members sick, and a couple injured.

I'm always grateful to the Mod Squad, but even more so this weekend, since I was in no condition to post until the very end.  In particular, the Official Junta, dbskyler and idlewild_, and the Unofficial Junta, pitry and chibifukurou. Plus lullabymoon and isdon_isgood9.  That's right:  we did the round with only six mods actually standing.  Wow, folks.  You are amazing.

And not only did we have much writing, editing, revising, research, and witty banter, we also had faster-than-light Rescue Penguins, alpha readers, ducks and chickens, flamingos, cake, cookies, and chocolate, all on this temporally inverted round.  And ponies!

So brag about your exploits here, and be sure to check back later this month -- or maybe it was earlier last month -- whatever -- so we can decide when we're going to do all of this again!  (Hopefully minus the heavy bleeding and the savage viruses and wrenched knees and all that.)

I made a cake! And wrote a 2,100 word fic, and got about 700 words written on an original short story, and finished revisions based on beta notes on my longest WIP. And knit some of a sleeve and helped put together a bed frame.

Can I go back to bed now?

I worked on three things and completed two of them at 490 and 1054 words respectively. Just did 617 words to kick off the third (and PORNIEST) thing. :-)

I also did research on the Heimlich maneuver as used on children. For kink bingo, no less. *blinks*

This weekend was a bust. I did try, very hard in fact, but alas, I ended up with two snippets and not much of anything else.

Which means that the one assignment, two articles, three big bangs and four WIPs I could have been working on are sitting there still waiting to be written.

*sigh* Why did I end up with the fickle muse?

I wrote 1 Criminal Minds angst bingo hiatus fic, at 2,355 words, posted here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/256962

I wrote 1,200 of a kink bingo piece, that's almost done and I'm trying to finish up right now in "hour 46". I edited another kink bingo piece which I should be posting tonight.

I did some research (actually a lot of research for the angst bingo piece) for my AU that I'm writing for the 100k Supernova and added some to my minor characters and outline sections.

Edited a friend's paper for her school.

Messed up my knee and ankle (again, not as bad, just bothering old injuries).

So, not a whole ton of writing done, but I got some further in some projects than I otherwise might have.

Well, I only did about a third of what I hoped to get done, but that happens a lot to me. Anyway, I did finish the extended version of one of my Sentinel big bangs. I'd made the rough draft deadline, but still had an epilogue to write and a summary of the preceding story to do.

Finished the summary: (1299 words)

Wrote the epilogue: (6614 words)

Total words for fic_rush this round: (7843 words)

Total words for the Big Bang: (29748 words)

Also fixed meals and did some house cleaning (but not much).

Also, I think you forgot to mention in your post that you get a serious cheer for still managing to co-ordinate everything and make sure that there was coverage or people at least knew where the gaps were to get coverage happening in spite of really needing to lay low this weekend! And an alcoholic beverage to be consumed at later date!

I wrote over 7,000 words! Most of them were not fic, but I wrote them anyway.

Also I learned how to use MS Word's bibliography feature. It's not terribly convenient, but it is good to know about for next time I have to write a paper with notes (sometime in the far distant future).

Also, yay for all the mods! *hands round virtual cake and glowsticks*

I wrote around 2500 words - far more than I anticipated when I started on Saturday morning, given the borked knee, work and general end-of-week knackeredness. And 'twas new fic too - and fun fic!
