Round 3 is over! Here is the place to brag about anything you wrote this round.

This is the place for comments/suggestions, too.


I would like to gauge interest in a Round 4. It would be sometime in November (up for suggestions as to when exactly). Let me know if you have places I could advertise this comm before Round 4. I think the most we had this weekend was two people writing at a time, but the idea is to turn fic-writing into a group activity.


For when the fic you guys wrote this weekend is finished: here is the Fic Gallery. It could use some fic that isn't Doctor Who. That means you, Boyd/Claire, VM, and Merlin!

I wish I could have committed more time to writing this weekend. My weekend was pretty busy but I really wanted to try it and give myself a boost back into the fic world. I am happy with my progress, though. All in all I'd say I ended up with a little over 1000 words in two fics. I didn't finish either of them but one is really, really close.

I'd say my biggest accomplishment was making myself sit down and write. Now that I've done it, my fics don't seem so daunting : )

I know I was the only person posting for a while, so I really appreciate you, studyofrunning staying up with me and making the posts!! And of course for your encouragement! It helped a whole lot!

Is Round 4 still planned to exist? This is the first I've heard of this comm, but it sounds like my kind of ficathon, and I would love to participate.

I never really made a decision about the fate of this comm. Round 3 was pretty inactive, and nobody who was watching the comm replied here about returning for Round 4. I sort of assumed it was dead of inactivity and stopped thinking about it. There probably won't be another round, unless I think of a great way to get lots of people to join.

It's a shame this isn't a more popular comm! I mean, it sounds like a really good idea...

I concur. I really enjoyed the one ficrush I was able to participate in and was hoping to get in on future rounds as well. I'll still be swinging by here every so often on the off chance there's a revival. I could certainly find the time for a round in December.

I could also help out on the timezone issue over the next couple months, being at GMT +9 at the moment.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to participate in round 3, but I would love to be in round 4 should you choose to hold it. I'm also willing to help mod, and/or help advertise (I'm psyched that someone found the comm through my journal, wow!).

I hope it continues because it was such a great experience, but either way, thank you for having done it.
