I'm not actually sure who's supposed to make this post, so I'm just gonna do it in case that's me.

Round 31 is over!

I finished and posted my book liveblog that had been stalled for the better part of a week! Yay fic_rush!

That was... um, 4867 words this weekend. WOW. :D They weren't fiction words, and I'm always ramblier in nonfic posts, but that's still pretty epic.

It's by G.K. Chesterton - from a love letter to his then-fiance later-wife, actually. It's the most hilarious thing: he makes a list of thirteen things he has about his person, ranging from a pocketknife to a battered straw hat (making them all ridiculously funny and fitting all the news of the past week in between), finishes up with "A Heart, mislaid somewhere", and tells her that's all he can offer her and he doesn't know why on earth she's marrying him but he is the luckiest man in the world for it. :D

To be honest, this was one of my least productive fic_rush weekends. I have ideas but can't seem to get them moving. To add insult to...laziness, the thing I'm most proud of doing so far is deleting 120 words. But I am going to go write more in a bit.

I managed ~1500 words (much less than last Rush) but most importantly got over my block. I also finally got one of my big bangs posted.

I'm now tucked up in bed watching Blackadder, so I'm declaring this a win xD

I wrote around 4000 words. Almost all of them were for a Big Bang fic, and very much needed!

I finished my Sentinel mini bang, adding about 3000 words. I also worked on version 3 of an Avengers fic which was eating my brain. I'm marginally happier with it. Finished revising a chapter of an epic sentinel story to send to my beta.

Did some emailing for a charity auction and sent the winners the podfic they bid on.

Aaaand, drank a pitcher of margaritas. Watched a bunch of The Incredible Hulk, (TV version) episodes.

Thanks everybody for slogging along. It really helps to know other people are peering at their keyboards, or procrastinating or researching, just like me.

I started beating the ending of a big thing that's been around forever into shape.

Also I got dragged off to wilt in the sun and look at local arts and crafts, dragged off to the mall (eh. It was a mercy trip to buy me a dress because I had nothing to wear at all ever so I can't complain), and then dragged off to REI because I can't say no. So all told, less sitting on my butt writing than I wanted. These weekends work better with no spouse in the house.

I got some fics beta'd and sent back to their owner, and some blog posts written. And some LOLMAcs done. I did not actually manage to write fic, but most of what I did get done is stuff that usually gets in the way of fic writng.

I wrote ~300 words. That's more than I've written in any other recent fic-rush, and they were the last ~300 words of a first draft, so I'm pretty happy with that.

And I probably wouldn't have written them if it hadn't been fic_rush, so thanks!

This was my first rush and I learned to not schedule a weekend trip the same weekend. I spent five pm to midnight Saturday and nine am to noon Sunday making conversation in German with complete strangers (an old friend of my SO plus their family) and the intervening hours trying to sleep on the floor and having nightmares, some of them in German.
Otoh, I did finish a very short fic and I'll post it today or tomorrow.
