This is the post for bragging about what you wrote, and also feedback.

I myself didn't feel very good this weekend, so I didn't write anything and I wasn't around to cheerlead everyone else as much as I'd like to have been. But we did get several people writing what sounded like some really epic fic.

Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] lullabymoon, [livejournal.com profile] glinda_penguin, and [livejournal.com profile] myev for making some of the posts so I could sleep.

I'll put a poll up later about when to have Round 6.

Coming into it late and without planning for any time to actually be set aside, I only produced maybe 800 words, tops, and that's counting some that were really just revisions of older concepts.

However! It seems to have helped me get the ball rolling again on my blocked WIP and gives me hope that Three and the Brigadier may manage to have their little adventure publicly presentable someday after all. Good fun, thanks again!

The world needs more Threefic - it is my duty to provide some! *salute*

I has a brag: not only did I write 600 new words of fic, and find a use for 400 others I'd thought abandoned, it was my post about the comm that brought [livejournal.com profile] primsong and [livejournal.com profile] lolmac over here! And they've both written quite a bit too. *beams proudly*

(Hope I'll see you two here again next time? It was really fun having you along!)

And thank you, [livejournal.com profile] studyofrunning, for making all this possible! If, as somebody said early on, we get points for adding to the cumulative total, you have the biggest word count in the whole ficathon - because none of this would have happened without you! =D

*attempts to look properly contrite* *fails miserably* Can I offer cookies to make up for it?

Much more sincerely, my deep thanks to curuchamion for pointing me here and to you for being here! I like the suggestion that you should take credit for the entire total word count!

And well worth the bragging too - thanks for the pointer, I thought at first it was another fic challenge thing and didn't want yet *another* half-done story in the wings. Finding it was simply a chance at getting one of the half-dones done while in good company, that was a delight!

thanks for the pointer

You're very welcome! And thank you - in a rather roundabout way, these last couple rounds only came about thanks to you.

(See, a while ago, you put up a discussion post on your LJ about our methods of fic writing, and [livejournal.com profile] dbskyler's answer somehow caused me to check out their journal. Which was full of posts about fic_rush. I thought the concept sounded absolutely awesome, but the comm itself was hibernating because studyofrunning didn't think anyone was interested, so I asked if there was ever going to be another round, and she put up a poll. And there was lots of interest after all, so here we are. So many, many thanks to you for that!)

while in good company

Right back atcha! ;-)

Talk about a person never knowing where something will lead! Very pleased to have contributed (however round-a-boutly) to a resurrection, it's a wonderful idea.

Unfortunately I didn't have as much time to write this weekend as I would've liked, but I did start and complete a whole 252-word ficlet! So I'm happy about that. : )

Thanks for hosting this again, and I look forward to next time!

So, my brag. I started Friday evening with a chapter that had been stuck in idle for weeks, even though I knew what was going to happen. It's from a novel that I'm posting as a WIP, and I haven't been able to update in almost a month, the longest empty stretch to date. BTW, a good night's work for me is maybe 250 words of finished, usable writing.

I got in 1300 words during the weekend, and it's not over yet; I also have the necessary notes, scribbles, and chicken-scratches I'll need for the remainder of the chapter (probably around 500-750 words). I have a good chance of being ready to update by tomorrow or Tuesday.

I'm ecstatic. Bouquets unto you, Curuchamion and Studyofrunning! Thank you!!!

Well, I'll admit I kind of flaked towards the end, but all in all I threw down roughly 7,000 words, most of which was smut, which is always excruciatingly slow for me. This whole thing was really very helpful in making me sit down and push, though, and I'd be up for it again for certain. Thanks!

Holy ******!!! 7000 words? It takes me weeks to get that much down!

Snort - it DID take me weeks. Weeks of procrastinating and then jotting down notes and hemming and hawing about it. I definitely DON'T usually get that much done in 48 hours.

*looks sheepishly at the piles of scribbles and notes and bits of paper stacked by the computer* Um, yeah . . . but still! That's an incredible amount! Go you!!

*Looks around guiltily* Sorry 'bout dropping off the face of the planet; had not intended that to happen. I was all rarin' to go for the first half and then lost steam and got tackled by Life, so I've only got around 300 words to brag about this time. Did get me going on more plotting, and I've finally got a structure down for the longfic I've been mulling over for ages, so there were certainly some pluses to the weekend.
Hopefully next time 'round I can keep momentum and come into it with more planned out to speed through.

And 'twas a delight to hear how y'all were doin' when I took over posts for a few hours. I'll certainly be back to help with that next round. ^_^

Thanks again, all!
