In Which August is Problematic

fic_rushHolding an August round is not looking promising: many of the mods are unavailable, not to mention the fact that I didn't get around to putting up a poll until way late.
The only option I see is to have a general free-for-all during the final weekend -- which is a holiday weekend here in the US, so we can have Rampant Usurpation for 72 hours if we like. Basically, we can start with a rough schedule and allow anyone to jump into the gaps at will, or we can be entirely schedule-free and just bang away until we're done. Or we can do September instead.
