Speaking of modding . . .
Tue, Dec. 11th, 2012 05:30 pmIt's time, based on my entirely obscure Gaxian almanac, for me to update the Master Modding Schedule and ask Many Nosy Questions about time zones and availability.
If you are a mod, or have modded, or would like to mod, or believe it's a mod mod mod mod world, please answer the following questions. You can give answers in your own time zone, or in GMT -- just tell me which you're using. Please ignore everyone else's schedule at this time: this is all about YOU.
Also, even if you've told me this information before, please reply. If I don't hear from you at all, I will probably assume you are no longer interested in modding.
- Out of our usual 48 hours, what hours are you NOT EVER available to mod? (Due to sleeping, regular commitments, etc.)
- Out of our usual 48 hours, what hours are the VERY VERY BEST for you to mod?
- If your schedule is in mad flux, but you're interested anyway, what's your best guess?
- Are you more comfortable with having a set, regular shift that's pretty much the same each weekend, or are you happier with a variable shift, or are you only interested in (or able to commit to) providing occasional emergency coverage?
- Is there a minimum or maximum amount of time that you're comfortable modding?
- Is there anything else I should know about your life that has bearing on this? (for example: you're a student and your schedule goes through periodic reshuffling; you're about to move to Australia and start a new job on the night shift; you're an alien with three months left of your holiday here, after which there will be a serious time lag on your internet connection due to relativistic time compression)
- For extra credit, use 'penguin' in a sentence. Creativity counts.

Date: 2012-12-12 06:16 am (UTC)1. Out of our usual 48 hours, what hours are you NOT EVER available to mod? (Due to sleeping, regular commitments, etc.)
I'd say between 1 a.m. to, er, 10 a.m, shall we say... on both Saturdays and Sundays, due to me pretending to be a human being who requires sleep rather than one of those dolphins who sleep half-a-brain at a time or penguins who only pretend to be sleeping.
2. Out of our usual 48 hours, what hours are the VERY VERY BEST for you to mod?
TBH, at the moment it seems like anything OTHER than sleeping time. I don't tend to have weekend obligations.
3. Are you more comfortable with having a set, regular shift that's pretty much the same each weekend, or are you happier with a variable shift, or are you only interested in (or able to commit to) providing occasional emergency coverage?
I'm good with either having a set time or variable time. As long as we set aside a bit of time to feed the penguins, I'm cool.
4. Is there a minimum or maximum amount of time that you're comfortable modding?
Nope.
5. Is there anything else I should know about your life that has bearing on this? (for example: you're a student and your schedule goes through periodic reshuffling; you're about to move to Australia and start a new job on the night shift; you're an alien with three months left of your holiday here, after which there will be a serious time lag on your internet connection due to relativistic time compression)
I fight giraffes on my free time with my penguin army, does that count?
6. For extra credit, use 'penguin' in a sentence. Creativity counts.
Are we sentencing penguins now? Have we sunk this low? Shouldn't we go after the giraffes first? Why are we wasting our time chasing penguins when there are still giraffes out there? SHEESH.
