Round 64 is over!

It was a great round!  I think.  I modded a few too many hours and my brain is mush, so tell me all your fabulous deeds!  Lie if you want to; I probably can't tell the difference!

I am sorry thy brain art mushy!! And you did kick ass muchly on the Modding/Usurping front!! Kudos to you!!

Well...lessee: first, I saved the Pyrillian Galaxy from Hydrogen Pirates, came back in time to Mod a few hours, got captured by the Mafia (due to a bounty on my head because the captain of the Hydrogen Pirates has no sense of humor), defeated the head of the Mafia by NOT shooting at him, got embroiled in a pub-match (lost that, but we won't dicuss the unfair amount of cheating going on) and ran into some dude named Silver who somehow conned me out of my last handkerchief.

I then hitched a ride with the Corsair to get back to my own ship which had been stolen by a different faction of Pirates (they were Purveyors and Pervs of Pink Pantyhose - don't lookit me, I didn't name them), had to defuse the bomb they put under my steering wheel (well, it was either them or the Mafia), got the buggy fueled up and finally made it to one of (the many) stag parties for Captain Jack (friend of a friend, you know) which was the point of the whole trip in the first place.

Alas, on the way back home, I went too far back and got sloshed on some rum with ANOTHER Captain Jack (and I'm not saying Morgan - better stuff than that *CACKLES*) and finally staggered back to my own timestream, had a couple jiggers of coffee and a bath in the polar ice-caps before my next set of Modly duties. After another vigorous Round of saving the Universe, I came back to pound out 550 words of Truth As I Know It and posted it just in time for deadline.

I'm gonna catch a nap, see if those Hydrogen Pirates were ever disbanded, then go work a ten-hour shift. S'all in a weekend's work, really. No rest for the wicked, you know...

Just ummm...keep an eye out for the Hydrogen Pirates. They ran away to live to fight another day. Sadly for the Pyrillian Galaxy.

I'm sorry I didn't make it in to give you a rest - I had wifi in theory, but by the time I was finished with non-boat adventures I literally couldn't keep my eyes open. On the other hand, yay record?

I actually went digging through the old records, because I was sure that somebody must have done more in one of our Epic Rounds -- but no, at 14 hours, I have in fact set a new record! I also seem to have the record for the most hours total in a round, leaving out the very first rounds when we did not have shifts and the Admiral did the whole thing (and lived to tell the tale).

First of all: Thanks to Beth for still keeping this wonderful community running ... I wonder why I didn't discover it earlier.
Second: Thank you to all the amazings mods who kept this round running.

Third: It was a great first round for me, I managed to get over the bad writing mood, yeah. My goal was to write about 2400 words - well, I did write:
one challenge ~ 1100 words
one chapter of my WIP ~ 1000 words
as an extra I did some editing of three very old ficlets and moved them to my AO3-account

So I guess I can say I did reach my goal. ;)

I'm looking forward to the next round and hope to see all of you again.
