Fic Rush: the two-day ficathon

 Our first round in the new era will be Round 84, affectionately known as Fred.  We will have the round on March 17th and 18th.  

If you would like to mod, or at least have the option to usurp, please reply to this post, and join the fic_rush_48 comm.  I will make sure you have posting access.  If you’re new to the comm, you might want to wait and just participate for a couple of rounds (although we have had people jump into Baby Mod status from start, so anything might happen).

I don’t have the energy to do a full modding schedule, but I don’t think we’ll need one. My intention is to have assigned anchor posts for the key hours (Hour 1, 6, 12, etc.), and open usurpation otherwise.  That approach worked well before, and is a lot easier than drawing up and maintaining the schedule.

I’ve done a new master reference post for looking up GMT hours.

The comm has been imported, less the two posts just made about moving over here to DW. The 48 comm flooded me with messages about import failures, but it seems to have imported in spite of hiccups.

I have paid for this account, so we can have polls, because we MUST have polls.

People are beginning to join, including some new names amongst the old. On that line: hey, let's all say hi to each other! Please comment on this post, introduce yourself, maybe let us know some or all of the following:

- Where did you hear about us?

I'll do a poll for our inaugural DW round in the next few days, once we've had a chance to spread the word.

Yes, I'm still alive.  It's been a rough 15 months.

I've imported the comm from LJ and am doing as much as I can to find and invite past members, especially Mod Squad members, so we can get up and running again.  Please signal-boost at will!
