Okaaay, so this coming weekend, we're going to have -- not exactly a round, but something big and blobby that might or might not roll if placed on a slope.

I'll slap together something remotely resembling a schedule, and we'll start at midnight GMT and go on for 72 hours, or until we fall over, whichever comes first.

If you're interested in having an actual mod shift during the round, or more than one, reply to this post and say when -- I figure we can do first come, first dibs. If someone else has claimed a slot you really wanted, you can reply to their comment and ~~bribe them~~ ask them nicely about swapping for some other time.

Other than that, I figure it's Usurpation For All!

If you have not modded before, and you think you might want to mod, or usurp, be sure to let me know -- I will add you to the roster of people with posting privileges. If you don't have an LJ account, you can also mod with a DreamWidth ID.

One, two, three, Claim On!!

Holding an August round is not looking promising: many of the mods are unavailable, not to mention the fact that I didn't get around to putting up a poll until way late.

The only option I see is to have a general free-for-all during the final weekend -- which is a holiday weekend here in the US, so we can have Rampant Usurpation for 72 hours if we like. Basically, we can start with a rough schedule and allow anyone to jump into the gaps at will, or we can be entirely schedule-free and just bang away until we're done. Or we can do September instead.

So, yeah, August got away from me. There's still some of it left, though.

Round 54 is over! Much fic was made, flags were planted, cookies were eaten, diverse critters were sighted (but none were cited, although the goats did get off with a warning), vegetables were used in dubious theatrical productions, and we're reasonably certain that no cucumbers were harmed, or at least only mildly traumatized.

We had some new faces and much cheeriness, so tell us all about what you accomplished this weekend!

Round 53 will be the weekend of June 21st and 22nd. Mods, please confirm if you'll be available - I know the weekend isn't the best for some people. If we can get hold of a TARDIS, we'll send it to the following weekend so you can come back, but that's a really big "if".

Well, here's most of a schedule. Many of our regulars and even some of the Irregulars are unavailable this coming weekend, including the current Champion Usurper,

sidlj. This, of course, means either a lot of gaps, or more opportunities for the title to be claimed by another!

Round 52 will be this next weekend, May 24th and 25th.

In other news, I am home from multiple conferences and REALLY looking forward to getting back onto something resembling a writing schedule. Also, I have many pretty pens. They all have corporate logos on them, but they are pretty nonetheless.

May is being a Very Problematic month. I will be out of town for most of this next weekend, hanging out with Missy while she attends a conference for librarians, and then I will be out of town again the weekend after that, and Missy will be hanging out with me while I attend a conference for technology wonks in the RIA biz. This doesn't leave much May for 'Rushing.

If enough people want to have the next round on one of the two weekends when I'm not available, that is another option, and can be discussed in the comments.
