Tell us what wonderful things you accomplished this weekend! I saw a lot of lovely new members and lovely, well, not necessarily old, let's say veteran members, and much much wordage and other accomplishments! Now's your chance to boast of your prowess.

Round Fred begins this evening! Unless you're east of the GMT time zone, in which case it begins very early tomorrow morning.

I've drawn up a table of anchor posts across the time zones where I know we have current Mod Squad members. It shows the US under Daylight Savings Time and Europe under standard time, as they are at present, and won't be next month and we'll worry about that then.

Arizona is in with PDT.

Mods, please lay claim to anchor posts in the comments. Feel free to negotiate with/cajole/bribe one another if so inclined, just avoid bloodshed. The ones in blue are key, although it would be nice to have all anchors in place. I will engage to start and end the round.

Our first round in the new era will be Round 84, affectionately known as Fred. We will have the round on March 17th and 18th.

If you would like to mod, or at least have the option to usurp, please reply to this post, and join the

fic_rush_48 comm. I will make sure you have posting access. If you’re new to the comm, you might want to wait and just participate for a couple of rounds (although we have had people jump into Baby Mod status from start, so anything might happen).

I don’t have the energy to do a full modding schedule, but I don’t think we’ll need one. My intention is to have assigned anchor posts for the key hours (Hour 1, 6, 12, etc.), and open usurpation otherwise. That approach worked well before, and is a lot easier than drawing up and maintaining the schedule.

I’ve done a new master reference post for looking up GMT hours.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, or at least as many as possible!

This is a reference post for use during all rounds. We use GMT as our base, and we run for 48 hours, from GMT midnight Friday night/Saturday morning to GMT midnight Sunday night/Monday morning.

The comm has been imported, less the two posts just made about moving over here to DW. The 48 comm flooded me with messages about import failures, but it seems to have imported in spite of hiccups.

I have paid for this account, so we can have polls, because we MUST have polls.

I re-wrote the FAQ post and stickied it to this comm. Feel free to use that as a target link for pimpage.

People are beginning to join, including some new names amongst the old. On that line: hey, let's all say hi to each other! Please comment on this post, introduce yourself, maybe let us know some or all of the following:
