Fic Rush: the two-day ficathon

Find the Error, Volume 40! (Actually, we haven’t had a Mod Squad for that entire time, but close enough.)  My apologies for not getting this online sooner.

This will be either our Ruby anniversary, or a celebration of all Type 40s.  Or maybe both.

We are, alas, short a few of our Companions Regulars: dbskyler and lullabymoon cannot join us. This has created a Very Serious Potential Crisis. We have Rifts In Time! Oh noes!

I’m hoping that either justice_turtle or sidlj can protect us against Rift Number One (which is a small rift, as rifts go -- sort of a riftlet), and that lost_spook and alinaandalion will stand guard at Rift Number Two.  Please let me know if our hopes are not in vain!

Please also pay careful attention to start and end times, some of which have shifted slightly, especially for isdon_isgood9, who has just stopped Saving Daylight just as the rest of us were getting started. Talk about timey-wimeyness.

Suggestions are also welcome for suitable ways in which to celebrate our milestone!  Personally, I'd like to write a WHOLE LOT OF WORDS that weekend.

Wow, that was a GREAT round!  We had several new people peek in, and lots and lots and LOTS of writing (and other creative things) accomplished!

We've had a truly wonderful suggestion from seriesfive:  we're going to put together a Fic_Rush collection at Ao3!  Watch this comm for more details; they will be posted as soon as they exist.  (Sadly, there is insufficient timey-wimeyness to post them before they exist.)

Today, we have the extra-special Daylight Savings edition of Find Beth's Schedule Error!!  To add excitement to the challenge, DST has started in the US, but not in the UK, and it hasn't yet ended in Australia.  Everybody got that?

(A reminder:  the round is next weekend, the 23rd and 24th, not this weekend.)

Lots of really special thanks are owed to the Irregulars this time around: lost_spook, alinaandalion, sidlj, and justice_turtle. Lost Spook already has her Official Pretentious Title, but you other three need Alina needs to start thinking of suitable Pretentious Titles for yourselves herself!

Mod Squad members (including the Irregulars and any members of the Ninja Squad), if you didn't already do so in the polling post, please confirm if you'll be available that weekend.  (Fun Fact:  Ninja Mods always respond when nobody's looking.)

Let's see if I can get the first schedule of the new year up without glaring errors!

The Fic Rush Completely Irregulars will, I trust, be on hand if any timey-wimey cracks appear!

The first draft of the new master schedule is under the cut.  Peruse intently and let me know your thoughts on your shift(s).  Some shifts are very different from previous incarnations, others are not.  If you aren't on the schedule at all, it's probably because I didn't hear back from you when I asked for updates on modding preferences.

In addition to the assigned shifts in the schedule, thanks to the truly lovely offers of several new people, we now have a cadre of Fic Rush Irregulars.  In particular, we have the Fic Rush Somewhat Irregulars (FRSI), who mod on most weekends but whose shifts are subject to, well, shifting, and the Fic Rush Completely Irregulars (FRCI), who do not currently have regular assigned shifts, and who I hope will be able to fill in as needed, both for scheduled shifts and for Emergency Stunt Modding.  If you're in either band of Irregulars, please let me know before each round if you're going to be available, and when, so I'll know if I can call on you.

I also have two 3-hour shifts that don't currently have anyone assigned to them.  If you're interested in either of these, do speak up!
